Women's Get-Away, 7:00 pm March 5th to 9:00 am March 7th, 2010 "Sweet Life Cafe"
Women just seem to gravitate towards times of sharing with other women over tasty treats. Our opportunity to share both treats and food for the heart is coming March 5, 6 and 7, 2010, as we enjoy the 5th annual Weekend of Wonder, "Sweet Life Cafe," at Expeditions Unlimited.

This weekend will focus on three bible stories that include an item found at just about every cafe - bread. Through the studies, we will learn what it means to be nourished by Christ and to share that nourishment with others. Between each bible session is a flavor-based session - one sweet, one savory and one spicy. But these sessions aren't totally about eating - and you'll have to join us to find out how each of these flavors relates to an important area of every woman's life.

We'll also have 'down time' built into the weekend, for outdoor activities, reading, crafts and just plain fellowship with each other. We have invited the women from several Advent Christian churches in Illinois and Wisconsin to join us this year, and of course, any woman 18 or over is welcome to attend. Gift certificates toward the costs of the weekend are available, and would make a wonderful Valentine's gift for a wife/ sweetheart/friend.

The weekend will run from Friday evening at 7:00 pm through Sunday morning at 9:00 am, to allow women the opportunity to attend Sunday's service. Costs for the full weekend (Friday and Saturday lodging, three meals Saturday, breakfast Sunday morning and snacks/supplies) is $115. (For $15 extra, a special themed tote and the music from the weekend will be available.) The first 15 women from our congregation to register for the full weekend with their down payment of $25 will only pay $65 for the weekend. Payment in full is due Sunday, February 28, 2010. Other options include one day, with lunch and supper for $40. All spaces for the weekend must be reserved with a $25 down payment. Checks should be made payable to New Life Advent Christian Church, with "WOW weekend" in the memo section.

Please do not put this in the collection basket, checks should be mailed or given directly to Lisa Meyer. If financial concerns are impacting your ability to attend, please speak with Lisa personally. If you have questions, please email Lisa at steve456@centurytel.net.

Youth 2010 Baraboo Spring Retreat, March 19-21st
Welcome to a weekend of fellowship as we discuss how we can “Stand” against all the world tries to throw at us. We will be looking at Galatians 6, which talks about the full armor of God, and that we can stand fully protected against all the schemes of the devil. Who will stand up against it? Ephesians 6 says, “Stand firm therefore, by fastening the belt of truth around your waist.” It is time to draw a line in the sand. We need to make a decision. Will we stay behind the line, letting the battle overtake us, or will we step over it, standing up for the cause of Christ? I pray that you will join us as we seek what the Lord has for us this weekend.
