New Life Collector's Showcase Event to Benefit Local School Children, Saturday, August 14th
Whether you are a serious collector or are simply looking for something new to do, check out the New Life Collector’s Showcase being held at the Baraboo Elks Club at 623 Broadway (use the Broadway Street entrance).
• Showcase: Here you will find a fun and captivating display of whimsical collectibles and antiques on display for viewing and/or purchase. Chat with the collectors who will share their stories. Showcase tickets are $2.00 at the door (children 5 and under free).
• Educational Seminars: Experts in a variety of fields will share their knowledge on how to identify items, tips on preserving and selling your own collectible or antique. They will offer suggestions on reference material, clubs and web sites and will offer their opinion on the value of two items you may bring with you to the seminar.
• Appraisals: In addition to the experts leading the seminars, there will be appraisers on site to do appraisals of other items not covered by the seminars. Each ticket holder may bring three items for appraisal in addition to those brought to the seminars. Tickets will be handed out for appraisals and attendees will be called by number so you are free to browse the Showcase or sit and enjoy a snack at the food stand while waiting your turn.
• Combination tickets for Seminar/Appraisals are $10.00. Tickets will also include entry to the Showcase. Pre-registration is required and each participant may choose one seminar to attend (check back often as more speakers are being planned).

Profits from this event will be used to purchase backpacks and school supplies for disadvantaged children in the Baraboo School District.
The backpack give-away will be held August 21st at New Life church and will also include free basic hari cuts for children. In addition, school personnel will be on hand to answer questions and complete any late registrations, and if needed, health professionals will provide immunizations free of charge.
